NEW DEER FENCE DESIGN - RESULTS:
CLEVELAND MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY WORK (ONGOING):
FOR DECADES, MENTOR MARSH HAS BEEN STEWARDED BY THE MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY, THE MAIN LAND OWNER, THE MARSH BOARD AND OTHERS. RESTORATION EFFORTS HAVE INCLUDED PHRAGMITES SPRAYING AND MANAGEMENT BY HAND, DIVERSE BIOTA MONITORING BY MANY, AND WATER QUALITY MONITORING BY THE LAKE COUNTY SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT. RECENT MANAGEMENT BY THE MUSEUM INCLUDES SPRAYING (OCT 2015) AND PRESSING (NOV 2015) OF OVER 200 ACRES IN THE WEST BASIN.
